Mr. Jihad Faitrouni extend his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Head Spring organization, and he would like to express his gratitude to Cory McColloughfor & The facilitator Pablo Esteves for giving him the opportunity to participate in learning design workshop
The Designing sessions and classes is not just about delivering the content; it is about engaging and inspiring the participant and allowing them to reach their full potential. This requires a different, participant-centered approach that provides greater autonomy and responsibility to the learner or participant. Working on improving facilitation skills can significantly impact the ability to engage, inspire, and deliver content to the participant and allow them to reach their full potential.
This two-session workshop will explore two aspects of learning design. The first part of the workshop will focus on the session design and structure to create learning arches that use a set, hold, and land methodology.
The second part will focus on using artifacts and objects, such as paintings, articles, videos, and tech tools like A.I. generators and collaborative tools, to facilitate class discussion and allow collective knowledge to emerge.
By the end of the workshop, participants will have a toolkit of approaches to incorporate into their teaching practice to support their student’s learning and create meaningful learning experiences.
Outcomes:
Walk away with a foundational understanding of using learning arches to structure sessions and courses.
Awareness of the importance of setting and landing the learning experience for sessions and courses.
Creative uses for artifacts to facilitate dialogue and participation in class.
New tools and mindset to define, design, and deliver new forms of learning content.
